The process of pressurised dissolved air flotation serves to separate suspended solids. In this process solids, by the adhesion of finest air bubbles, are caused to float up to the surface where they can be removed. The air bubbles are generated by a pressure drop after the expansion valve.
A partial flow of clarified water is utilised as motive flow for the water jet air compressors to saturate the pressurised water with air. The suction side is supplied with compressed air. Then the motive- and suction flow mixture is fed into the saturation tank - - below the liquid surface.
Advantages
- Optimum air saturation degree of the pressurised water over the whole operating range is achieved by a fine dispersion of air in the motive flow
