Waste water aeration

Waste water aeration
In the case of waste water aeration Körting Ejectors fulfil the highest demands that effluent and sewage treatment plants can make on an efficient and reliable oxygen transfer system.
The ejector’s design corresponds to that of a jet ejector; but the air to be introduced is pre-compressed beforehand. On account of the high oxygen demands of organically polluted waste water and the increasing height of modern biological water treatment plants it is more efficient, as far as energy is concerned, to pre-compress air – or also oxygen - mechanically to the hydrostatic pressure prevailing at the ejectors’ installation point and supply it so to the suction connection. Dispensing with a significant pressure gain in the ejector reduces the power requirements of the circulating pump required for the motive flow. As oxygen transfer is not only dependant on the bubble size (interface between gas and water) but also in the very same way on the renewal of the gas bubble interface, waste water ejectors with their permanent circulation of waste water achieve a considerably greater oxygen efficiency in waste water than other aerators.
