

Gas entering the droplet separator is set in rotation by a specially formed twist generator which causes droplets to be propelled outwards as a result of the centrifugal action. The separator chamber is shaped as a spiral tube. Droplets caught on the walls converge to form a liquid film which runs downwards towards the discharge point and not upwards in the direction of the gas flow. This special feature guarantees an effective rinsing of the separator's complete inner wall surfaces during operation, thereby ensuring a pollution- and maintenance-free operation mode for the system.
