Jet scrubber
A jet scrubber is used for mass transfer and heat transfer between gases and liquids in cocurrent flow. Its injector principle means it’s also used to convey gases (pressure gain).
Jet scrubbers don’t require any rotating or moving mechanical components. They stand apart for the following reasons:
- Simple designs
- Low maintenance requirements
- Exceptional levels of reliability and availability
- Zero fire risk in the scrubber
- The combination of gas conveying (pressure gain) with dedusting, absorption and cooling
Jet scrubbers are also often called jet gas scrubbers. Jet scrubbers are gas scrubbers and often used in combination with a column, demister, or swirl droplet separator.
