The controllable steam jet compressor is based on the tried-and-tested jet ejector principle. Körting has been consistently developing this technology for over 150 years. The jet ejector in this project is exceptionally vast. With nominal diameters of DN 2000 to DN 2400 and lengths of up to 30 metres, it’s one of the biggest ever. The objective is to maximise waste steam usage while minimising live steam consumption. Which really boosts efficiency in industrial energy processes.

The compressor was both developed and made by Körting in Hannover. Because of its gigantic size, the jet ejector was made in segments. This remarkable technical and logistical feat demonstrates the company’s expertise and precision.

The customer reports that the Körting compressor’s energy efficiency is around 30%, more than that of comparable Chinese versions. This obvious advantage in terms of performance and efficiency meant successful completion of the project and follow-up orders.

Excellent teamwork with KTB (Körting Technology Beijing, a subsidiary of Körting Hannover GmbH) was a key factor during the project. KTB provided the contact to the state network operator and supervised the planning and project execution locally. Personal interaction and a customer visit in Germany helped to boost trust and paved the way for joint projects in the future.
